Notice Something New?
I’m so pleased to share with you the new brand identity for Build Missouri Health!
Since I joined the organization in July of 2022 as the inaugural executive director, we have been creating internal systems, building relationships, and most importantly, listening to the needs of Missourians across the state as we focus our work on health equity. Thank you to our partners who have described success and barriers, shared their hopes, and brought their experiences to our learning.
We recently began translating what we’ve heard into a visual brand that represents the vision we have for the future. It was important to us that our new brand include all the diverse perspectives that must come together to create a Missouri where everyone has the opportunity to be healthy. As a start-up nonprofit it was also important that our visual brand communicated the new energy and new perspective on health equity that we are bringing to the already great work that has been going on in Missouri.
A few notes on the new look:
- Our logo is a version of the Hawthorn, Missouri’s state flower, which symbolizes strength, resilience, and community–a testament to the determined spirit of our state.
- Our brand colors are vibrant and evoke the blues, greens, browns, and golds we experience in nature during the four seasons in Missouri.
- This brand represents our work as a “community quilt”: focusing on our commitment to honoring the diverse stories and histories of people across Missouri. It is full of joy and celebrates our shared heritage and mission to create a healthier future for all
Missourians.
Starting with a revamped website, over the next few weeks and months you’ll see the new look and feel roll out across all our updates. We’ll also begin announcing new programs, new partnerships, and new opportunities to get involved. We’re thankful for your support along our
journey, and we’re looking forward to the work ahead.
